I got the newwork back up, and I have the Dell desktop back up on the wireless network, but I can't get my MacBook connected via wireless, and I had it connected that way earlier tonight....
I can connect the Mac via ethernet through the same router, and it LOOKS like the Airport is connecting to the network, but when I try to bring up a web page it says it's not connected to the internet.
Thoughts?
Thanks

It sounds like you need to reset the airport as well so that it grabs an IP address and gateway from the router. Usually if you just unplug them for a minute and plug it back in, that takes care of it.
By the way, there is a reset button on the back of linksys routers, just use a pen and hold it in for a few seconds and it will completely reset the router back to factory defaults. Useful when you forget the passwords too.

If anyone has any more insights, please toss them in..... Neither of the two Mac notebooks in the house can get in to the network.... It looks like we're connected, but when we try to access a website, it says we're not..... Previously, both Mac notebooks could access the web through the wireless network.... I'm trying to figure out what I changed when I was messing with the Linksys router to keep the Mac notebooks out....
at some point, I reset the router, and it looks like that's where I lost access......
anyone know anything about making a Mac airport talk to a Linksys router?

Hah!! I must have scared them into talking to each other....
and it wasn't just the MacBooks; the Dell desktop was also being ignored by the uppity router..... my threat to send it on a swan dive to the deck below must have done the trick.... (that and maybe taking it off the same channel as one of my neighbor's unprotected routers?)
anyway, it works..... don't anyone look at it funny.....
and thanks for all the help!!!!
