Strangest movie you've ever seen?

Post by krusin1 »

Since we seem to be on the movie topic...

What's the strangest movie you've ever seen?

We saw "Vanilla Sky" last night (Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz.)

Rented it mainly because Cameron Diaz drives a '71 Buick Skylark coupe - very similar to my first car. (Yes, I still miss it. :( )

Alas, the car had a very short appearance in the show and then the whole thing got... weird.... Starts out like a drama-type deal, and veers deep into sci-fi. :o

Wonder if it came out about when Tom Cruise really started to get deep into Scientology...

Eyes Wide Shut, for a somewhat recent weird movie...

I think this is when their marriage really went deep six..

Kubrick must have expected better than he got from Cruise...

Sky Captain and World of Tomorrow we didn't watch more than 15 mintures of...

Buckaroo Banzai and the 5th Dimension.

Saw it back in high school. Strange. Could never get my hands around the plot line.

in no particular order:

My Private Idaho
Ishtar
Bonfire of the Vanities

weird: because I can't figure out how these pieces of crap made it into production, much less release.

It's ok, just go with it. It's pointless to resist, and it'll only hurt for a minute.

One of my favorite movies--I thought it was incredibly weird, but brilliant!

Never got The Royal Tennenbaums--not that strange, but the critics raved about it; I would have walked out of it, but I kept figuring that if the critics raved, it would have to get better---it never did.
