don't catch much network television... I deplore commercials
Yes, Paula Abdul is on it, but Seacrest isn't the one with the accent - that's Simon Cowell. Seacrest is the host.
that would be why I don't recognize him, even the slightest...never had it on more than 3 or 4 seconds at a time...I've never seen the commercial, though. guess that mute button might apply for this one
at least I'm informed now....
When it goes from full to crescent...I move in and out of tune...Everlasting Moon....

I never watched American Idol so I wasn't familiar with his schtick and didn't really know who he was when the commercials first started. Now it seems like they're on every 10 minutes on every stinkin' channel!
I really like Taylor...he seems genuine.
I don't pay much attention to his commercials...and to be fair...he has no control over what they make him do for the car commercial. I am sure the deal was part of winning idol.

I agree...i enjoy watching American Idol, and Taylor Hicks was my favorite all season...I really like his singing, tho i could do with fewer spastic gestures. Actually, he reminds me of Mr Buffett in his early days, tho I dont know that he writes.
"Be good and you will be lonesome, be lonesome and you will be free"
This was the first time that I watched AI. The first time that I watched Taylor I thought he was most talented and would probably win.
I also see where he can be irritating. He's got that whole corny/gayish /wimpy/cookie cutter thing goin' on
"It's crazy and it's different, but it's really bein' free"

I'm with you guys, but I can see how he could become annoying to some.
I'm just grateful he quit punctuating every sentence with "hoooo!"
(And c'mon, how can you hate a guy whose grandma is buddies with Lucy Buffett?)
And you know all the top 20 have had to sell half their soul to AI for at least a year.
Bad commercials really BYTE. Why can we take the persons that wrote, created, produced them out and hang them ? Rope is cheap and energy efficient!!! We can recycle the rope for the next person.
Maybe if the persons that created such advertising were forced to watch and to listen to such crap non stop for a bit...they would stop the it and learn how to make something not so offensive.
I have no idea who thae guy is nor do I personally care. He makes the offensive commercial ..he hangs with them along with those that made him do such a taccky commercial.
Yep I have a MUTE button, but please explain WHY such people get highly paid for such idiotic and annoying performances to invade nearly every channel I recieve and my home?
Roll with the punches, play all of your hunches...come what may... POW-MIA, YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN!!!

Stop all the pointing and spinning and impassioned hand gestures ... you're singin' about a car for crying out loud.
AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ....... SHUT UP!!!!!!!!
I have seen it numerous time and I like it and him
Heck Molly, I watch the local news..but when a commercial is on I'm usually letting the cats in or out ..or out and back in..or the dogs...I guess I have so far missed it...
and having never watched the program he was on I didn't know who he was nor the host of the show until Penny told me...
pretty much just a personal preference, I guess...
I really like the Geico gecko...
When it goes from full to crescent...I move in and out of tune...Everlasting Moon....

GOD, ALLMIGHTY, I LOVE YOU!!!
Umm Garry maybe we should just take it slow. Ya know, a cup of coffee, dinner, a movie, maybe a few drinks. Then we can just see where it goes.
(Should I be telling my wife about this?)

Hey, hey, hey ..... there's no liking here!
I don't know that I hate him ... it's his "schtick" that bugs me. Too many histrionics for a dang car commercial .... I'm just not gettin' that worked up for an automobile.
