I was down in Key West for a bit and did a buffett bar crawl. Our trusty leader showed us some of Jimmys old hangouts as well as giving us some insider info, one thing I was a bit confused about was Jimmys first boat? I thought it was the Euphoria? He told me otherwise. Thoughts?

I found this on Margaritaville.com. I think it's also in The Parrothead Handbook:
"The myth of the cheeseburger in paradise goes back to a long trip on my first boat, the Euphoria"
I know he mentions a Boston Whaler in Brahma Fear and it's in the Come Monday video, but then he might not really consider it being it's a smaller boat and not a sailboat. I'm thinking that's after he bought the Euphoria anyway though
I thought so...

I thought I was right! Just wanted to make sure I had my facts right.

The first sailboat I remember from the early days was EUPHORIA, Cheoy Lee 30', I think. I have pics, not sure if it was 30' or 33', I'll check.
SAVANAH JANE was later.

According to the video of all the videos Jimmy made that never made "it", his first boat was the Boston Whaler.

Wonder where that Whaler is today?

I was down in St Barts last year and Jimmy was on the island. There was an enormous yacht in the marina named "Blue Moon". A few locals said it was Jimmy's yacht. Anyone know if that is true?

The Boston Whaler was his first boat and I don't recall if it had a name or not. Euphoria was the first sailboat which was the boat he purchased with the money from "Come Monday".
I have no idea about Blue Moon but I will ask a few friends who deal in that line of work and see if they can find out.

Cool. It was a beautiful boat.

I think CNF is correct. The original Euphoria was a 30 something foot Cheoy Lee. Euphoria II was the 48' Cheoy Lee clipper he stepped up to following the success of the album CILCIA. Then in 1979, following the birth of Savannah Jane, Jimmy "traded down" to a smaller more practical sailboat by the same name.
Although I'm sure there have been (and still are) other boats, those that come to mind are the "stinkpot"

(as any dedicated sailor would refer to it) the beautiful blue-hulled Cheoy Lee motoryacht "Continental Drifter," the wonderously well rigged "Margaritavich" Rybovich Express Sportfish and his newer sailboat (yacht) "The Last Mango."
We found out about the "Mango" while talking to staff at Margaritaville Key West a month ago but I don't know her specs.

Jimmy may have been aboard the Blue Moon while in St. Barts, probably visiting. His boat, the Continental Drifter was there as well. A co-worker of mine has a daughter that is/was the cook. He kept me informed as to the whereabouts. She couldn't tell him where they were going, only where they were, which I guess makes sense. Aparently the CD was up for sale and in fact was sold but the deal fell through. Don't know if any of this is fact, but that's what I was told.
Didn't Jimmy have a boat on the Eastern shore that he sailed? that would have been early on too.
