I would just like to get all of your thought's on this.
My brother inlaw calls me doughboy and he also gets his kids to call me that. He thinks this is funny and harmless. I am over weight and do not like being call this especialy by my niece (3yrs old) and nephew(6yrs old). I've ask him to stop he refuses. How many of you think this is outrages behavior?

I think it's mean and not a very good example to set for his children. Just my opinion. Since you asked.

I think this is a great opportunity to teach those kids a valuable lesson about the consequences of one's actions, by beating the hell out of their dad the next time he calls you that.

Whether you're overweight or not is a negligible point. Simply put, it's uncalled for. Unless it's some sort of inside joke between the two of you, there's no reason for it, and he certainly shouldn't be bringing his children into it. He's either an insensitive lout who can't see wrong in it, or he honestly thinks he's somehow being funny, which is just as bad.
The simple fact that he's teaching his children to make fun of people is appalling. Kids figure that out enough on their own, they certainly don't need their parents helping them along.
This is coming from a person who is well versed in the sh*tslinging within family, but we NEVER do it around younger children, and it is never to the detriment of someone's shortcomings (weight, intelligence, whatever).
I know what I would do in that situation, but it's not likely the best solution for everyone and would depend on the relationships involved.
Good luck on that one.

Or you can just follow what Frank says. That'll work, too.
Beat him with a rolling pin, just to make the irony more apparent to him.

siblings never outgrow beating each other up. Go for an old fashioned brother attack.

I'd take Frank's advice.

By the way he called me today to see if I was coming to their party on saturday I said no but my wife and daughter were going. He didn't get why I was still mad and said, get this "we just have different parenting styles".
