Never happend. Maybe a little grabbing in the locker room. And funny how no ones ever been convicted of what you are accusing them of.

And you've never heard of a college football player raping someone??? You new to the sport???

It happens. But at CU it happens more than any other Division 1 program. Will Hawk be able to clean up all of the crap at CU??

J/K. Although the "favorite joke about your college rivals" could be a fun thread later in the season when we start getting into the rivalry games.

The sad part is that NYCPort is right, to an extent. While some violations are certainly more egregious than others (and I would dispute the "everybody is doing it" defense), with the current state of college athletics, I don't know that any of us on here who support major conference, D-1 schools could really win (lose?) the "their school has more thugs/criminals/cheaters than mine" debate. That's why I generally try to keep my smack talk to on-field activities. Like asking what it feels like to lose your last four games of the season by a combined total of 149-32?

Although I do think you guys got a good hire in Hawkins. I'd never liked Barnett going back to his Northwestern days. But I like Hawkins. It'll be interesting to see how his schemes work going against higher levels of competition than what he saw in the WAC.

NU opens with a winnable game (Louisiana Tech, 7-4 last year) that should be a decent challenge for the newbies. Then a $$$ game against a I-AA team to tune up for the game at USC the following week.

Oklahoma is #5, but many of those votes apparently came in before the Bomar announcement.

Hawk will do fine. Just not this year. He does not have the talent to make a run but he is a great recruiter and an even better coach. His record at every level he has coached speakes for itself.

I just wish a good man like Hawk would not have gone to such a p***-poor institution like CU.

It is a sad state these days looking at recruiting. It still kills me that someone was actually shocked that a school got recruits drunk and took them to strip clubs. First time I heard it my first thought was "Yeah, so what?" Then it kept snowballing and snowballing...

With both of them being so closely ranked, can 1 really fall that far down?

And do they still use that factor of how much you lose or win by?

Our first game is on the road, at Mississippi State. Alot of people think we have nothing to worry about with this one, but with it being the first game and no road game in the SEC is an easy one, it has me worried a little.
