Don't tell your fellow Gamecocks that you were actually congratulating a Tiger.....they'll kick you out of the roost. I agree that our game is better when both teams are better.....guess we'll see what happens come Nov. What do you think about them moving our game to the Sat. after Thanksgiving? I wasn't too thrilled about it myself. We have to cut our TG travel short to come back for the game. :-?
 SHHHH, promise you wont tell any of the other G'Cock fans?? the game being moved doesnt really affect me to much, just because all of my family that I spend Thanksgiving with all live in SC. But I do understand how ALOT of fans arent to thrilled about it, with them having to come back early from TG travels!!

In Tennessee's hopeful victory over Cal tommorrow on Rocky Top, sophmore Arian Foster will gain more rushing yards than Heisman Trophy candidate Marshawn Lynch.......mark my word!

Are the golden boy's of Cali ready for Rocky Top on a Saturday night?
Well, I guess my prediction was slightly off.

Net Rushing Yards:
Marshawn Lynch: 74
Arian Foster: 69

However, we did go with the runningback-by-committee aproach this evening, and check this out........

Net Rushing Yards:
California: 64
Tennessee: 216

I'll take those stats. Montario Hardesty ran very well tonight too and made the best play of the game with the touchdown run.

I'm really glad my other prediction was off as well.........

TN 20
CAL 16

I'll take the 35-0 late in the 3rd quarter!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOD OOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL' ROCKY TOP! WHEW! ROCKY TOP TENNESSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

GO BIG ORANGE!
GO BIG ORANGE!
GO BIG ORANGE!
GO BIG ORANGE!
GO BIG ORANGE!

Thanks, Gamecock! Sorry about dogging you about Michigan earlier, didn't realize you were from there. Ever since Manning got the biggest screw in history for the Heisman race, I've hated the word Michigan. It makes it a little easier not to despise the sight of the gold and blue after our rout of them in the bowl game a couple of years ago, though.

Too bad Arkansas couldn't upset USC and we could have had a complete 3-0 sweep of the lousy Pac.

You guys have a big game comming up this week. I will definately be pulling for the COCKS! I hate Georgia about as bad as I do Spurrier. We need them out of the SEC East race as quickly as possible. Their fans can really be pompous buttholes sometimes, and I want to shut them up! GO COCKS!

Hey no problem man. I was actually at the Citrus Bowl that year you blew us out. :D

I was rooting for the Razorbacks but I didnt think they could pull it off. It seemed like that kinda gave up in the 2nd half!!

Oh yes sir we have a big one this weekend!! I watched some of the UGA game today! Its hard to get a good idea on how good they are since they were playing Western Kentucky. Their offense didnt light it up, only 185 yards total offense I believe. Some of their fans have been over on the USC board tonight talking alot of crap to us. Last time I looked, we play them damn tough every year, and last year we had them beat in their stadium, if it wasnt for a illegal shift penalty that called back a TD. If our defense plays like they did Thursday, and the offense wakes up, we have a great shot of winning, specially being at home for the first home game at night. Billy Brice will be rocking!!!! Great win again for you guys!! :D :D

And my side of the story B.R. is that I've hated the word Tennessee ever since that same season when Coach Phil in the final coaches poll voted Michigan something like 4th or 5th in the country depriving them of a undisputed national championship!! :o

Surprised to see the Vols smoke the California Quitters :-? . Was hoping that game was gonna be like the Joe-ja Tech/Golden Domer game! That was a dandy. My Wolverines were quite good defensively, good running the ball, crappy passing the ball in their victory. And Melli's Mountaineers White & Slaton played the part of Heisman hopefuls in their rout of Marshall. If all goes according to hoyle, it should be quite a ballgame in November at Louisville!

Slaton had 203 rushing yards yesterday! Not a bad start! Oh ya, that's going to be quite the game - suddenly Louisville has become our most exciting rival.

I will say this. Danny Wuerffel is more of a class act than Spurrier ever thought about being. He does alot with youth in the community and is a great representative for FL, much like Peyton is for us. I remember when he refused to be recognized on the Playboy All-American team in '96, which I thought was an impressive decision for a 22 year-old.

I will say this Vol, I to hated Spurrier when he was at Florida. I thought he was a a**hole, and hated him so much. Even when he was announced as the head coach here, I had my reservations about wanting him here.

But I have to say now, I was totally wrong about him. Not because of how many games USC wins, but what he does other than coach. He just gave $250,000 to the University to build an academics center, and other needs! He preaches about the importance of family, and education, and life after football for his players! He made a comment this weekend about how much it meant to him to see his old players, with familys of their own, and having great jobs, and how that meant more to him than winning that championship!

I totally agree that he has said and done somethings that I never agreeded with. But I have learned alot about the man the past 2 years, that makes me respect more as a person than as a coach!!

The negative things Spurrier says to the media will only bring bad PR to your University and shame its name. I respect him in alot of ways, but his mouth gets him in trouble.

like the ol classic "you can't spell Citrus without UT" or maybe refering to FSU as "Free Shoes University"

Refering to the Dawgs old coach Ray Goff as "Ray Goof"

Or when he told Gator fans that a fire at Auburn's football dorm had destroyed 20 books: "and the real tragey is that 15 of them had not been colored yet"

soo many.......

Despite being a Nole fan I've always liked that he says what's on his mind and though it would never happen, I'd take him as a coach in a second.
However it was always fun listening to him whine after a loss.

He doesnt sugar coat for recruits either. They interviewed a recruit a couple of weeks ago about his visit with Spurrier. He said that Coach Spurrier told him, " We will win with you, or without you, now the choice is yours on if you want to be part of it"!! The recruit committed to South Carolina the next day!! :D :D
