That was kinda surprising, considering Miami out-rushed them by a 2 to 1 margin. Oh wait, they out-rushed them 2 yards to 1 yard. :o

Nebraska has a tune-up game against I-AA Nicholls State before the big game at USC the following Saturday night.

Congrats to FSU! I hate Miami!!!

Well, week two is upon us. Another soft game for West Virginia (*sigh*) vs. Eastern Washington.

well each game is very important. We have to win all of them, so believe me no opponent is taken lightly, but it's div. 1-AA. I'm referring to our soft schedule overall. It stinks.

Interesting ranking...I guess they don't count losses against Div. 1 in their voting.

right. I get your point. Regardless of how good they are, playing and beating a 1-AA team isn't the same as beating a good 1-A team. We need to actually play 'somebody'. E. Washington is not to be overlooked, by far..and it won't be, but still...it's E. Washington.

true. but in the event of a loss to a 1-AA school, I am thinking that is almost an automatic "out of the top 25" by Tuesday morning following the loss for any 1-A school.

Exactly. That's why every game is a must-win.

Starting Texas cornerback Tarell Brown is suspended for this weeks game against Oh How I Hate Ohio State. He was picked up on a marijuana and illegal weapons charge. Don't really know all the details, I do know that the Longhorns are gonna need all the experienced cornerbacks they can find to keep Teddy Ginn and the OSU receivers under wraps. :-?

At least Coach Mack Brown is doing the right thing and not bowing to the pressure I'm sure he's getting from most everyone in the state of Texas!
