I never confused Q&S with a guy, but some of the avatars are a bit
gender confusing. I love Nicole, but now that shes's Rick's avatar, I
keep thinking she's posting. Others are just totally gender generic
in both screen name and avatar, so...

Was it last year that the Cocotel came and after leafing thru it Mr. Topless said... is Jimmy left handed? I was like ...how would I know.... and better yet why would you ask? He said he saw a pic of what he thought was Jimmy swinging a club...left handed. turns out I think it was a baseball bat.... but either way... I never even noticed...LOL

Seriously, I'm pretty sure I've seen a pic of Jimmy with a baseball glove on before & he appears to throw right. Plus, he obviously plays guitar right-handed. Many major league baseball players throw right & bat both ways (switch-hitters) but a fair number also throw right and bat left - not too uncommon.

But most switch-hitters would swing a golf club righty vs. lefty (which is much more unusual).

Good article. It's interesting how some interviewed from BSL express some disappointment in the featured hurricane not being Katrina. Although the song may well have been penned before Katrina, to me, the bigger picture surely includes the destruction left behind by all hurricanes. It's a neat opportunity for BSL; I'm glad Jimmy found a way to help out one of the hard-hit communities...a ray of sunshine after so many cloudy days....

And if they're saying October, we all know it will come out in October.

The article says the album comes out in October, not the single. I would assume that the song - titled "Bama Breeze" - will come out sooner than that, perhaps late August or September. So hopefully he'll start playing it live and we'll get to hear it soon. Keep your ears open and your phins up!
