Murder in Havana., and it's like her 15th book. I try to like it but there's just nothing in the characters that interests me. Like I said, I rarely never finish a book. It's usually a sign that i'm under too much stress or some such thing. I'm a bit obsessive/compulsive and can obsess over things unfiinished.
I went to the library and go tthree books.
This one, the latest Sue Grafton and Shadow Divers about the recovery of a german uboat off jersey shore. I pick the book I'll like the least to read first and save the best for last.

Sounds like you just need to set it down and have a go at it later. Have you ever read the JD Robb mysteries? Might be something new you can get into since you seem to like the genre.
I love the J.D. Robb mysteries!!!

I have to finish the books I start. I have occasionally found that I am not interested in one book; because I am looking forward to reading another. I usually put it down and come back to it. I almost always finish it the second time around.

I finish almost every book I start, but I don't read that much. The ones I usually choose to read are not just to past the time, but ones I am really interested in.

I would have never finished The DaVinci Code if I hadn't gotten in in CD format. I started it so many times. I'm so glad I stuck with it.

I'm glad I stuck with the last book I read too; now I can express an opinion about it (if anyone cares) and it had its saving graces.

See the bad part is that I saw this thread earlier, but when I saw it just now my first thought to the title of the thread was "um, I post here. Is the sky blue?"

Oh and to get back on topic, yes I will stop reading a book if it's not going anywhere.

If I'm not hooked in the first two pages, I can't finish it. Becomes like schoolwork and I hated school!
