Ok....So my fiancee isn't a buffett phan at all, but I still get into discussions with her about what he's played, what he should play etc... So last night I was talking about all the covers Jimmys doing...so we started joking around about songs we didn't want to hear Jimmy play.....

- close to you ....carpenters
Some of it's magic, some of it's tragic, but I had a good life all the way

Song I don't want Buffett to cover????
Way too many, and I can't think of a truly funny one.

Song I want Buffett to cover?
Ma `Tit Fille, a great Cajun/Zydeco tune that Jimmy should consider.
I'm just tryin' to get by being quiet and shy,
In a world full of pushin' and shove.

Totally unrelated, but the best version of "Enter Sandman" I've ever heard--including performances by Metallica themselves--was at a Rob Zombie concert a few weeks ago. Zombie said he'd take requests from the crowd, and the first one he heard was "Enter Sandman". He whispered the song into the ears of his bandmates, and an eruption of John 5's facemelting guitar solo slammed the ears of all us concertgoers. It was INCREDIBLE.

By the way, Rob Zombie is--in addition to Buffett and BB King--one of the very best performers on tour right now, bar none. Even if you don't like that music so much, the shows are so high-energy and fun and visually stimulating that it's a great night!

I have always wanted to go to Zombie concert, but my brother-in-law has talked me out of it numerous times saying his shows are "freaky scary".

Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald.

Also voted the song least likely to ever have a pole dancer dance to.
