Jessie Winchester had a album called Nothing But A breeze back in the 70s,i just wonder if Jimmy will be doing the song from that album of the same title,it's a great song,i think some of the words are"I want to live with my feet in Dixie, and my head in the cool blue north,I played that album to death, lost it in a flooded basement,a local band here in Dayton does the song,it would be a great song for jimmy to do,he is a big Jessie Winchester fan you know.let me know if anyone else knows of this album, take care everyone, see you in Indy..

Yes, bigcreola9, according to an anonymous cabinet-level source the "Nothing But A Breeze" CD will include Jesse Winchester's song of the same name. Personally, I prefer the album title "Party at the End of the World." Maybe they're going with a "breeze" theme considering that - as Jimmy has announced - the first single and video is a song titled "Bama Breeze."

Here is a link to some Jesse Winchester comments at cmt.
http://www.cmt.com/artists/news/1473070 ... esse.jhtml
The end of the article has comments about
Nothing But A Breeze.
As the conversation winds down, Winchester himself offers a candid assessment of his essence. "When I dodged the draft, the way the deal worked, I could avoid the war in Vietnam, but I'd never ever be able to go back to Memphis. That became so fixed in my mind that I purposely made myself into a Canadian. I resolved to be a good Canadian. Then when it turned out that I was allowed back, it was already too late. There have been times I have been tempted to come back, but I have three children here, and I love Quebec."
He pauses for a moment then concludes, "But I still consider myself a Southerner in my heart. My taste in music, in food and language is still Southern. But I like living in the North. I can't really explain why, it seems to suit me."
Perhaps the answer as to why may be found in the lyrics of Winchester's 1977 song, "Nothing But A Breeze."
I'm the type of guy who likes it right down the middle
I don't like all this bouncing back and forth
Me, I want to live with my feet in Dixie
And my head in the cool blue North.

So, according to what we know for
Nothing But A Breeze
Songlist includes:
1. Party at the End of the World (written by Jimmy Buffett and Will Kimbrough)
2. Here We Are
3. Everybody's on the Phone (written by Jimmy Buffett and Will Kimbrough)
4. Bama Breeze
and the
rumors for songlist:
5. Nothing But A Breeze (by Jesse Winchester)
6 Reggabilly Hill (by Michael Garrett)
Wonder how many more songs Jimmy has to write yet?

Jimmy's friend John Denver also covered "Nothing But a Breeze" on his 1982 album "Seasons of the Heart"

Same for me...I had long forgotten this one and other great Jesse Winchester songs like "Mississippi You're on My Mind", "Yankee Lady", and "Brand New Tennessee Waltz"...they get less airplay than Jimmy's songs...I'm very happy "Nothing But a Breeze" will be on the new album.

Wouldn't it be nice if Jimmy threw out Nothing But A Breeze tonight in Indy!
One more song I'd like to hear Jimmy and Mac and the Reeferettes do together is
Gulf Coast Highway. There's certainly a theme going with the NEW album and this song seems to fit in well.

i just cant believe him would name the album after a song that isnt even his.its one thing to cover a song its another to cover a song and then name your album after it.especially considering that jesse winchester already did it.its kinda lame.name the album after one of your own songs jimmy.
