What Is So Great About Vegas Shows?

Post by Burgerflickle »

Haha, I know this is a dumb question, but I just became a die hard parrothead earlier this year and went to my second show this year a a few days ago at Tinley, but I would like to know what is so great about Vegas shows. I know there in Las Vegas and its awesome there and everything, but is there something more special about it? Thanks

Nothing special about the Vegas shows, except the one in April, 2000 that was on my birthday. And the tickets are overpriced.

It's a really small venue, which is nice, but the prices are way up there...

out of all the venues I've been to Vegas is probably my least favorite. The only good thing about it is once the show is over... your still in Vegas :D . Seen him there twice and it's not worth the ticket price in my opinion.

The friends I've made in Vegas make it special. 8)

Oh yeah, and usually it is the last show of the tour.

Our first show was Vegas; we can’t wait for the show this year. Sure the tickets cost more, but hey at least you can get them, and it’s Vegas Baby! Take the pre-concert festivities add the Vegas atmosphere, toss in a few Parrott Heads and you have one of the best party’s you will experience.

I think it is one of those places you just have to go see Jimmy once! :P

However, the novelty seems to soon wear off! (IMHO) :-?

Being a Vegas resident, I can tell you that the show itself is typically not much different than any other venue.

However, the thing that separates it is the fact it is truly a weekend party. Most of the attendees come from out of town and (for the most part) it takes a diehard parrothead to make the journey. You won't run into many parrotheads here who only know Margaritaville and "that Cheeseburger song".

Although this may sound like shameless self promotion, I've been told by many people that they have as much fun at the pre-party our club (LVPHC) puts on Friday night (only happening 10/21 this fall!) as they do at any concert.

Lastly...its Vegas....we have gambling, strippers, 24 hour bars, and just about anything else you could want (except the topless pancake house...it hasn't happened yet!).

If you decide to make the trip this year, I guarantee you'll have fun....if you don't make it this year though, there'll always be next as Jimmy likes Vegas as well (along with the paycheck he gets for playing here!) and I think Sin City will be a stop on his tour as long as he's working!
