Later this week are driving across from Fort Lauderdale to Naples (Naples PHC Beach Party and Volleyball!!! Jim Morris performing Saturday) Anybody 'been there, done that' ?
Is there anything worth seeing en route or maybe detouring for ? The ride across looks to be less then exciting.
We are possibly even up for "Goober Touristy stuff" re:airboat rides, etc.

Or should we just get across alligator alley and hit the beaches and bars over there ?

i would choose the later with perhaps the choice of a airboat ride. otherwise just make the drive. have done it many times.

IMO.... get to Naples.... find the closest Tiki Hut, watch a fabulous sunset and chill!
