You bet!

My daughter spent 3 weeks as a student ambassador in Australia. She thought before she left the United States. "Three weeks and no Jimmy Buffett music." Wrong!!!! She is not a fan but daddy is! One night around the campfire on her farm stay at Trafalger Station they whipped out a guitar and someone started singing "Margaritaville" she said to herself. "Great Aussy Parrotheads!" She had to laugh saying they did a good job with the song. She said the next time she heard a Jimmy tune was at a restaurant when they played "CIP" and mounted on the wall next to their table was a North Carolina license plate with PRTHEAD. So in three weeks she heard two Jimmy songs.

Her experience and opinion of the Aussy people is they are wonderful people who are very caring and warm hearted. She did have one funny story about a young child she met. The young girl asked her if she was carrying a gun and wanted to know if her dad was a cowboy. She replied to the youngster "no, and someone has been watching to many John Wayne movies." Her homestay parents said they love american TV but find it a bit violent. Hollywood has really painted a rosy picture of us to the world huh?
