Rep. Cynthia McKinney of Georgia has lost her Democratic primary runoff election to foe Hank Johnson, The Associated Press reports.

At least she won't have to wear that pin anymore...

and Joe Lieberman lost his primary bid, and says he will run as an independent.

There should be congressional term limits anyway. Most of these longtime politicians get too comfortable, and just vote the party line time after time, they do little for the interests of their constituents.

I think this just proved we don't need limits. People didn't like who was representing them, so they voted them out.

Lieberman lost the primary but vows to run as an independent, and split from his own party, the arrogance of this guy amazes me as "I can't be touched...........I'm Joe Lieberman." His speech last night seemed more like a victory speech............Joe, you lost............now go away.........please..............and give George Bush another kiss as the door slams you in the backside.............

McKinney may have been one of the most ignorant members of Congress. It would be interesting to see her iq test. As far as old Joe L. - he will most likely win the general election and become the dem version of McCain.

For a variety of reasons, but mainly because of his vocal support for most things "Bush", which put him at odds with the grassroots of the Democratic Party. Hey maybe Lieberman could join the Republicans? They're gonna need some warm bodies come this November.

I hear she blamed the media for her loss. Yeah, it's THEIR fault they reported all the stupid things she did. She acted like a republican, for heaven's sake.

In the 50 years I've lived, I have definite proof that 'what goes around comes around'. Sometimes you have to wait, but it does. If somebody does something bad to you, don't kill them or cut off their slausens. Just wait. The universe'll fix them.

As a right-wing nutjob , I don't agree with Mr. Lieberman on a lot of issues. BUT... he seems to be a decent, courageous, honorable, principled man who won't pander just to get votes. I'm glad he'll be returning to the Senate after winning re-election in November.

I'm not only proud to be a right wing nut job, but also proud that I'll be contributing to Mr. Lieberman's re-election campaign.

I'm sure the bearded men with hypenated last names boarding airplanes with incindiary bombing devices would like to see Mr. Lieberman gone.
