Tom just said he wouldn't even pay the 14,995 for Barbara Streisand!

And I have a rule that has only sort of failed me once- I do not buy over face value (the one exception was when I got out voted by my brother and sister, and if they were patient, we all would've gotten face value tickets).

You would actually have to PAY ME to go see him in New York. No smoking anywhere in the venues, bars, resturants... sorry--- I will not survive there.

I'm with you-never have paid more than face value for a concert ticket.

I paid face for my tickets to see Jimmy and the CRB in NYC. With the tickets, TM charges, tolls, gas, and hotel it's turned into quite an event. But to see Jimmy at MSG, where PT Barnum reigned supreme, well that's just something else.

I've only been to NYC twice but saw Jimmy each time. I went to the TODAY Show in 2004 and 2006. My third trip to NYC and I'm seeing Jimmy again, doe sit get much better? Seriously, does it?

I checked with stub hub how its legal to ask that much for a ticket above face value "scalping"-the ass said it is not scalping just supply and demand marketing

It could be that the person wants to go and that price is what he would accept to miss the show. I have sold some prime seats in the past to other events for outrageous money. It all depends on your priorities and perspective. What might be 5 months income to one person could be one hand of blackjack for another.
