Last Comic Standing

Just wondering if anyone else watched this season of Last Comic Standing?? The finale was last night and I thought it was an absolute crock of s**t that Josh Blue won. Ty was by far the the better comic throughout the show.
Josh reused material and it seemed like all of his jokes were just making fun of his disability. He also was usually laughing at his own jokes and making small talk with the crowd...was very boring to sit through

I stopped watching after the first show as I didn't think any of them were remotely funny

I feel exactly the opposite. Both are stellar comedians. Ty was I think at a definite disadvantage because he wasn't handicapped, actually, because, well, people like laughing at handicapped people. This gave America an outlet to do so without having to feel guilty for it. (He's from Denver so he would have my vote no matter what).
Why can't we just be happy for the handicapped kid?
For me, contests like this aren't just about who happened to be "funnier" but other aspects such as unique qualities, potential, and overall impact. A guy like Josh Blue could do a lot of good as a result of winning (not that Ty wouldn't) but I think my point is obvious.
I don't want to discount Ty as a comedian, though. He's absolutely freakin' hysterical. He had hubby and me in tears last night. I do hope he goes on to do great things, and I have a feeling he will.
(I love last year's winner John Heffron, too

)
It's one of my favorite shows.

My favorite was off the show early (I didn't religiously watch the whole season as I have in the past). But, it was the gal with a lisp who wrapped herself in duct tape.

I think it's just a difference in taste. I saw the duct tape girl and thought she was horrible. I guess I'm more into comedians who not only make you laugh but make you think like Miller and Carlin. I do still find fart jokes funny though

I like a little of both. Carlin is probably my all-time favorite. I was listening to Class Clown on vinyl WAYYY before I should have. I could swear like a sailor at 6 and still giggle when anyone mentions Tater Tots.
Fart jokes are fantastic!! Hubby always says we have barking spiders who live inside the couch cushions.

I thought he was funny but I agree that his jokes were mostly about his disability. Funny for a while but then it does get old. Others who tell jokes about sex may be funny but after a while, it too gets old.
If you want to delve deeper into the subject of people with disabilities, I believe that we (Americans) can finally laugh at people with different disabilities because these people are bringing themselves into the spotlight more and more. Every good comedian will make fun of himself and those around him regardless of color, religion, sex, age, living conditions and health. Watch Carlos Mencia or Dave Attell. In fact, there was a comedian (forgotten his name) who was on tour with Dave Attel who had "deformed" hands. He joked about it then went on with other material. In the movie "The Ringer", mentally challenged and disabled people worked on and were in the film and laughed right along with the rest of the cast. Disabled people work where we work, shop where we shop and laugh at the same things we laugh at.
Sorry, began to ramble there.
End of sermon.

Hmm... I feel differently. Every joke that Ty did the night before last (the night that counted) was a rehash of jokes he's done all season.
Josh was a genuinely funny guy, who had smart-ass funny comments and was hilarious, even when he wasn't on stage and was just hanging out on the ship...
While Josh possibly wasn't funnier that night (when the voting started) he was much funnier all season.
Chris (the tall Willy Wonka looking dude) was my favorite, I thought from the beginning it would come down to him and Josh at the end.

Josh, and that big guy who got kicked off, were the only ones who made me laugh out LOUD !!! I would pay to go see them. Chris was good but he got more and more sad-sack as the weeks went on. Kinda like he was depressed or something...????????
My favorite Josh joke was when he told about the people seeing his disability, and bending down saying something like, "hey little buddy..." and he came back with,
I.........
cracks me up, I go around the house saying that

I also thought Chris was going to make it to the end...I guess with Josh it seemed like he kept telling the same bit about the Gabriel/Blackberry thing and how his mom only knows when he is drunk. anyway, the better man won let's see where he is in a year.
