How funny is this?
"T-Rac," the Tennessee Titans' raccoon-like mascot, hit Saints quarterback Adrian McPherson with a golf cart as he walked onto the field for the second half Saturday night, bruising him and knocking him out of New Orleans' 19-16 victory in the teams' exhibition opener.
"He got run over by the mascot," coach Sean Payton said. "I don't know what to do. We've got to play the Titans. The mascots and all the other stuff going on, it's crazy."

Mascots have no right on the field, much less driving a motorized vehicle.

It would have been really funny if he had broken his leg and then while the player was rolling on the ground the mascot would have stopped and backed over the injured player.

Hmmm...considering the tragedy that hit New Orleans, I really fail to see much humor (if there was any intended) in this...
For years a Cowboy fan, I didn't care for the Saints, but...
I think a winning year for the Saints would do wonders, for us all...

Let me withhold laughter on this one until I check my Fantasy Football roster.

Peyton Manning and Jake Plummer on my roster.
The Titans visit here this week, so the mascot probably won't have a golf cart. The Colts play at Tennessee in December. Let's hope the mascot learns to driver by then.

I'm thinking Dad's gonna take the keys away for a while...

Golf carts don't go that fast- shouldn't he have just moved?!
(And Peyton is a UT alum, so I think T-Rac would be T-Rac fritters/stew etc if he hurt him).

Adrian Mcpherson the former Nole outcast?
Didn't even know he was still around.
Man why can't something like that happen to Bryon Leftwich....

I wonder if it's too late to get an exhibition game at Tennessee added to the Bears schedule?

Some things you just can't make up....
Hopefully the guy's not too badly hurt...
And although the mascot may look the same on the outside next week, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a different someone on the inside after that faux pas....

you'd e surprized at how fast they do go...they were all over the lake area where I lived in OK....
parents seemed to think it was OK for an 8 yr. old to have free rein on a public road in a golf cart as well at down by the loading ramp....
they can travel faster than you think...

....

I am speechless..... and hysterically laughing... not for the city of New Orleans.... but for the fact that it happened to someone who caused embarrassment to my Seminoles!!!

Oh you are so right ! And let's not be too hard on T-Rac...it's pretty hard to see out of those costumes. I imagine the guy feels pretty sick and rotten. He may also be 'fired'. I watched part of that game, missed it. As long as the Saints QB was ok, I think we'd have had a chuckle about it if we'd seen it happen. I imagine the QB took a little ribbing from his teammates for being run over by a large racoon.

He wrote and cashed a stolen check for over 3k, and was involved in betting online on NCAA games while at FSU. I doubt this did more than bruised his ego.....
