what they were talking about is somebody on this thread suggested that Bernd from Germany was Jimmy. No secrecy. Just funny.balcony girls wrote:. .Rick, there is no secrecy going on. . . we have posted EVERYTHING we know . . leaving out only the final connection . .12vmanRick wrote:nothing like the little secrecy clique
. .the when, where and how it gets to Jimmy . . is handled by that person . .
. .we have tried to keep everyone updated with any info we get . . but for now, we honestly do not know, either . . ! !

C'mon, Rick... You know the contacts making delivery possible can't be posted on a public board.....12vmanRick wrote:nothing like the little secrecy clique
then it shouldn't be talked about in refernce to who knows what in public then should itSchoolGirlHeart wrote:C'mon, Rick... You know the contacts making delivery possible can't be posted on a public board.....12vmanRick wrote:nothing like the little secrecy clique
I suppose the people who know (and I'm not one of them) could simply share nothing at all, but I think they're trying hard to let people know what they can....12vmanRick wrote:then it shouldn't be talked about in refernce to who knows what in public then should itSchoolGirlHeart wrote:C'mon, Rick... That's what I, as only a contributor to the book, thought was the case.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:I suppose the people who know (and I'm not one of them) could simply share nothing at all, but I think they're trying hard to let people know what they can....12vmanRick wrote:then it shouldn't be talked about in refernce to who knows what in public then should itSchoolGirlHeart wrote:C'mon, Rick... ...scary!
Tiki, you and the rest of the team have nothing to apologize for as far as I'm concerned. I'm confident he'll get it and still enjoy looking through it.Tiki Bar wrote:First of all, I personally feel like a failure that Jimmy did not have the book before his birthday, and I apologize to everyone who contributed that we didn't deliver in time. However, it was not for a lack of trying.
Yes, Cindi did allow us to use her FedEx account from point A to point B, as well as point B to point C. When it left my possession, aka point A, on Wednesday Dec 13th, I was 99% confident it would easily be in Jimmy's hands before his birthday. Due to an unfortunate series of events, such was not the case, and again, I'm sorry.
But rather than dwell on it, I'm trying to shift focus and think positive that he will have it soon. It is out of our control now, and the committee is waiting just as anxiously as everyone else to hear word of delivery. As soon as we know, everyone will know.
And to anyone who has issue with us keeping names out of it, that's just the way it is. We would like to keep some element of surprise, and we also have to make sure said parties are willing to be identified.
That's all I got...
Absolutely! No need to feel bad! You all worked really hard! Thanks again!MalibuRumGirl wrote:Tiki, you and the rest of the team have nothing to apologize for as far as I'm concerned. Thanks to all of you.
Tiki -like the others have said. it is ok. it will get there when it is supposed to, not your fault.Tiki Bar wrote:First of all, I personally feel like a failure that Jimmy did not have the book before his birthday, and I apologize to everyone who contributed that we didn't deliver in time. First., if you had held to the original date to be able to ship it sooner......at least 1/2 of us would not have made it into the book at all..I know I was past the original deadline by a week or so. so everyone past me was after the November 1 date. It looks like my entry is somewhere in the middle.
Maybe if Jimmy would stay in one place longer, or we could control the weather, we could catch him. We all know he doesn't (that is one of the things we all love). there is probably no one, except Possibly Jane, who could second guess his travels.
Once you reveal your method for getting it to him,any suprise for him is gone. After all the discussion on here. I think he would be going nuts waiting to see how we are getting it there.
Revealing it's delivery path would also mean that it would be harder to use the same resources again.
Jimmy will be touched by it, and get it when he is meant to.
