What's your favorite baseball stadium?
After the 8/6/05 Tinley Park concert, we spent the night in Chicago and then caught the Cubs vs. Pirates game at Wrigley Field.
Seeing a game at Wrigley was on my list of things to do before I die - as are games at Fenway, Yankee Stadium, Lambeau Field, and a couple of others.
What I wasn't prepared for, though, was how much I'd enjoy Wrigley Field. It's old, has too few concessions and restrooms, aisles are too narrow and the whole place smells like it's been soaked in old beer.
PERFECT!
I'm not a Cubs fan (KC Royals - insert joke here), but I have to admit, my favorite place to see a game is now Wrigley Field.
How 'bout you?

Wrigley---DUH!
Though I am a purist enough that I preferred it before the lights and the skyboxes! (and all the other more recent changes designed to pack more and more people in.

Fenway.... Ancient. Tiny seats. Some sight lines stink. Crappy restrooms. But it's Fenway, soaked in history.
I, too, need to see games at Yankees Stadium (soon.
) and Wrigley. I missed ever seeing a game in Tigers Stadium, and I regret it.....

Old stadiums Wrigley, Yankee and Fenway are the best, each has something about it that makes baseball special. New stadiums, Camden Yards gets my vote. It was the prototype for all the new stadiums that replaced the multi-purpose toilet bowl stadiums. In addition to being a wonderful stadium, the fans are some of the most knowledgable.

I've been to
Fenway
Wrigley
Comiskey (new)
Sky Dome
Yankee Stadium
Camden Yards
Citizens Bank Park
Petco Park
Dodger Stadium
Fulton County Stadium (Braves old)
Of all those Fenway is the best, followed by Camden Yards and Dodger Stadium.

Wrigley for nostalgia...
But props to Miller Park for the beer selection, brats with Stadium Sauce, rain or shine roof, easy in and out, and great tailgating! Plus it's nice and new and clean, and our seats are club box, so the area inside is all air conditioned, there are no lines in the bathrooms, and there's lots of tasty food options!

There is a part of me that wants to go to claim having been there when it was the original (well, the mostly original). Just have that pesky promise I made to myself to breakNYCPORT wrote:You'd better hurry up if you want to get to "old" Yankee Stadium. They are breaking ground on the new one on Wednesday.

Every summer...took in several Yankee games from Grandpa's box seats behind the dug out..... I loved that man who swept off the seats... every year it was the same guy ...he would always tell me how much taller I had gotten since the last years....
So... my sweet memories lie in Yankee Stadium thus my vote....

If we are talking about history and memorable events it's really hard to touch Yankee Stadium, it ranks at the top. If we are talking about the ballparks themselves I wouldn't put Yankee Stadium in my top 10. The park is a mess and the only thing dirtier than the inside of the park is the surrounding neigborhood. Really nothing to do outside the park (only a few bars and restaurants) and I just don't see it being a fan friendly place. I'm anxious to see how the new stadium turns out.
