From what I remember, this is the one show where the cheap seats sell out first.
Jimmy Buffett discussion

The cheap seats are not horrible....they are just at the back of the arena. There are no luxury boxes to jack up the seating to the rafters and the venue only holds about 15,000 for a Buffett show so they are comparable to midlevel seats at some venues.karat wrote:Beach Bob wrote:Planning my first trip to see Jimmy in Vegas. I was looking at the seating chart and noticed that there are different ones for different performers. Anyone know what type of seating chart to look at for MGM. Do they use the normal end stage setup
Thanks
I'm with Beach Bob here.....
I know there are 3 levels of pricing..
Prices will be $210, $105, $68.25, plus additional fees
BUT my question is.....HOW bad are the cheap seats? Are the completely and utterly horrible?
Please advise!
Thanks, Bill, for the info!MrBill64 wrote:Hang in there murPH, TM is noted for not being very timely. There was a Tom Petty show earlier this year that didn't show up on TM until 30 minutes before tickets went onsale. Needless to say there was a few panic stricken Petty fans that day.murPH wrote:Gee, thanks.SharkOnLand wrote:Yes, panic, and throw your arms up in the air, and run around screaming "Oh my god!!!"murPH wrote:Tickets are not up on Ticketmaster for the October 21 show yet. Should I be getting worried???
Keep checking TM, they will have the shows up there on their web site soon enough. The only panic you will probably have is when you see what the ticket prices are listed at.

Here is a diagram of the seating chart for JB at the MGM. http://www.mgmgrand.com/entertainment/f ... uffett.gifkarat wrote:Beach Bob wrote:Planning my first trip to see Jimmy in Vegas. Where did you find this?[/quote]wolvrne wrote:Here is a diagram of the seating chart for JB at the MGM. http://www.mgmgrand.com/entertainment/f ... uffett.gif

I went to the entertainment section of mgm web site and looked up the floor plan for Mary J Blige. I copied the url for that floorplan but substituted "jimmybuffett" in place of "maryjblige" and up it popped. Looks about right.MrBill64 wrote:Where did you find this?wolvrne wrote:Here is a diagram of the seating chart for JB at the MGM. http://www.mgmgrand.com/entertainment/f ... uffett.gif

I think for international tickets, will call is always an option. That may be your best bet. Tickets are mailed out when they're printed and ticketmaster only guarantees that you'll receive them within 2 days of an event.scottish fan wrote:![]()
We are going to Vegas to see JB. As we are travelling from Scotland, Can anyone tell me if the tickets are mailed out immediately, or only a few weeks before the concert. Don't want to arrive in Vegas with no tickets. Can they be picked up on the night at the MGM? Staying at the Aladdin for 14 days, Can't wait
I have always paid for the express mail... for international I would double check. CALL TicketMaster prior to the tickets going on sale and see what they say.habourgirl wrote:I think for international tickets, will call is always an option. That may be your best bet. Cool I'll check that out. But you do realize stumblin' distance in Vegas can be from ½ mile to a mile...that is there block. Especially since MGM encompasses that block running along Tropican Blvd. Just FYImjeischen wrote:Airfare? Check!
Cheap Hotel Room in stumbling distance of venue? Check!
"Come Monday" I'm going to take on the TM Gods and prevail.
Just a tip - LastMinuteTravel.com is offering $45 dollar rates the weeknd of the 21st. It is a motel no flare of casino just a room. It on Tropicana about a block or so west of the MGM. CHEAP AND CLOSE - 2 nights $90!
It is next to The Hooters Hotel and Casino which also is reported to be having a pre- and post conncert gathering.
I know which hotel you are talking about.. still doable to walk. But it is a long one. People forget how big the buildings are there...you know like the mirror (and a few men I know), things may appear closer than they really are.mjeischen wrote:No matter. Provided I am facing in the right direction I will hit something nearby.
BTW - the hotel is America's Best Value Inn. Their online photo of the pool shows the MGM towers in the background . . . it appears to be a block or 2.
Which show???scottish fan wrote:![]()
