Woo-hoo!!! Thanx, phJim!!!!

Now, where did I put those lottery scratch-off tickets...
A most mysterious calling harbour
So far, but yet, so near
Where I see the day
When my hair's full gray
and I finally...disappear. BUT NOT YET!!

Here's the press release the MGM put out for the shows (interesting that there are no ticket prices in it). I hope to have a copy of the radio commercial within the next day and would be happy to share it with everyone if someone can post it on the web....just PM with an email address and I'll forward it in your direction.

LAS VEGAS – Singer, songwriter and author Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band bring the “Party at the End of the World 2006 Tour” to the MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday, Oct. 21 and Oct. 28. The performances are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

Tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. at the MGM Grand Garden Arena box office. Tickets also will be sold at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (Tower Records/WOW!, Smith’s Food and Drug Centers, Robinsons-May stores and Ritmo Latino) and ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per person. To charge by phone with a major credit card, call MGM Grand Reservations at 800-929-1111/702-891-7777 or Ticketmaster at 702-474-4000. Tickets also are available for purchase at www.mgmgrand.com or www.ticketmaster.com.

Wristband distribution will begin Monday, Aug. 21 at 6 a.m. and end at 9 a.m. A random number will then be drawn and a line-up will be in sequential order beginning with the random number selected. A wristband does not guarantee that a ticket can be purchased.

Buffett’s celebrated performances at Chicago’s Wrigley Field on Labor Day Weekend 2005 were recently released on Mailboat Records as a full-length show on two DVDs. The sold-out concerts made history in the Windy City as Buffett's performances were the first at the 92-year-old ballpark.

Following up his first No. 1 record, License To Chill, Buffett is currently working on a new studio album scheduled for release this fall. Additionally, coming out Tuesday, Aug. 22 will be Big Apple To The Big Easy, a DVD of the Madison Square Garden Hurricane Katrina benefit show at which Buffett performed along with Paul Simon, Dave Matthews and many others.

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band’s “Party at the End of the World 2006 Tour” is promoted and produced by House of Blues Concerts in association with MGM Grand.

For room packages and availability at MGM Grand, along with event ticket information, call (800) 929-1111 or (702) 891-7777 or log onto the World Wide Web at www.mgmgrand.com.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena is home to concerts, championship boxing and premier sporting and special events. The Arena offers comfortable seating for as many as 16,800 with excellent sightlines and state-of-the-art acoustics, lighting and sound. Prominent events to date have included world championship fights between Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson as well as Oscar De La Hoya vs. Bernard Hopkins and George Foreman vs. Michael Moorer; and concerts by The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Bette Midler, Gloria Estefan, Janet Jackson, Phil Collins, Billy Joel, Backstreet Boys, ‘N Sync, Sting, Jimmy Buffett and the Barbra Streisand Millennium Concert. The MGM Grand Garden Arena is also home to the annual FOX Billboard Music Awards, the annual Andre Agassi Grand Slam for Children Benefit and the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMA).

Ok, I HATE Monday sales. I'll be at work with no way to get tickets as will my hubby. Anyone willing to help me out? We want the Oct 28th show to make up for my birthday trip to Atlanta when we wrecked the car missing the concert and to celebrate Mr. Irishcajun's bday which is the 24th. This will be our third attempt at Vegas and will hopefully be the charm.

Jimmy Buffett will go on sale Monday, 8/21, at 10am. Performances are
Saturday, October 21st and Saturday, October 28th, at 8pm. Tickets may
be purchased through Ticketmaster (online/phones) and in person at the
MGM Grand Garden Ticket Office. Tickets will also be available through
our Reservations Center at 1-800-929-1111 (US only) or 702-891-7777
(outside US), starting on 8/22.

Prices will be $210, $105, $68.25, plus additional fees. We do
recommend purchasing tickets when they go on sale, as Mr. Buffett's
shows sell very quickly.

Thank you,
