You mean that's all it costs to have Jimmy play at a private event?

DURN ! That's cheap ! When I win the lottery, I'm gonna hire him and invite all BN folk. Deal?

Put that in writing, an oral contract isn't worth the paper it's written on.

You beat me to it. I despise that term.
i mean the people that don't just show up to hear songs you know by heart
I don't show up JUST to hear SYKBH (Songs Jimmy Plays To Death)...I show up hoping to hear ONE song I haven't heard live before. I won't set my expectations any higher than that.

I am so jaded by the SYKBH set lists....uggghhhh. I would love a SYKBH free show. Someone loan me $250k?

Yeah, I know...I don't have to go (more tickets for you) and right now I am totally undecided and un-excited about the West Coast tour. :-?

Oh yeah...and a private Jimmy show...add about $1million to your number and you're getting close....

I forget the 10 steps of Parrothead-dom, but I do recall classifications from way back in the days of Al Gore's internet when we all chatted on the listserv...there were BIGs (Buffett Is God) and GOPs (Grumpy Old Parrotheads)...at least that seems to be my mental recollection.

Trentonleonard is definately in the BIG category.

Sign me Grumpy. :pirate:

The one I remember is the 9 stage list. think I skipped 1 and 2 altogether, and passed over the one about "&$*$^ Buffett". I hit stage 9 about 2 years ago, and have come to realize that Jimmy poops just like all of us (tho usually in better-decorated and more expensive bathrooms)

I know people rag on the SYKBH songs, but it's amazing to see 30,000 people doing the Phins, or everybody yelling "Son of a Bitches," or "Salt, Salt, Salt." And I remember the first time my mom went to a Buffett concert and I was fearing I would get in trouble for singing along to WDWGDAS  8) Sure, he plays them all the time, but it's just a part of the experience!

you mean acting something other than like belligerent drunken frat-rats puking on the people around them and screamng over the music into their cellphones during the non-SJPTD songs? can't imagine why that would be preferable to the reality...

250K? At one point in time - I think this would have cost allot more than that. :o

(from cfo.com)

"While most of the trial exhibits are expected to be financial documents, Kozlowski's lifestyle will also be on display for jurors. According to published reports, Kozlowski shelled out $6,000 for a shower curtain and $15,000 for an antique umbrella stand, and had Tyco pay for a $2 million birthday party for his wife in Italy, featuring musician Jimmy Buffettand an ice sculpture of Michelangelo's David."

But I am there if you get the concert for less!
