The Jimmy "Bob" on the Wrigley DVD, anyone else no

I don't mean to pick on Jimmy here, but is that annoying little "Bob" he does as he banters between songs becoming part of the act? Is it a nervous tick that has developed due to age? Or is the stage too hot to just stand barefooted on?
I noticed it a bit in the Hawaii video but this time round (possibly) because we were seeing a full show) it became very distracting and I started to doubt his new squeaky clean corporate image. I think he might be doing a little more than flavored, imported tequila. . . but it's definitely imported.
I have friends (ah, hem), aquaintences, that bounce and bob like that and they are a little more into God's Green Earth than me, among other things.

Couldn't it just be nervous energy? I'm sure if you were trying to play guitar, dance, sing and be funny in front of 30,000+ fans that paid good money to see you be entertaining, you'd be a bit nervous, too. As much as JB loves his job, I'm sure he still gets a bit of the butterflies and worries he'll screw up and disappoint the crowd, especially a show as large as the Wrigley show.

I think you've probably nailed it. Remember at the CMA Awards show when Jimmy and Alan won? Performing Five O'Clock Somewhere, Jimmy was so pumped up he jumped in early, had to stop himself and jump back in at the appropriate point.
Big event and he was totally jazzed/excited/nervous/whatever. Seriously doubt he was... enhanced...
Wrigley sounds like a similar kind of deal.

Did anyone see him yawn at the begining of Valcano?

Yeah, but I don't blame him. While I love the song, I'm sure he's fed up with the Yellow songs, but he knows he has to play them because a large part of his fanbase wants it. Although he may be bored at times, he's good enough to cater to the needs of all his fans at his shows, not just dedicated Parrotheads.

I hate to say it, but I noticed it also and Geroge W. has the same kind of head bob.

Jimmy was completely revved up on adrenaline.... he'd been working toward that moment, playing at Wrigley field, for years.... and he was bouncing around just like a kid bounces on Christmas morning....
