You can choose to view live from a negative or a positve point of view.

You can complain about what happens to you or you can affect how you enjoy the scenery.

It's up to you.

Just another Canadian PH checking in to this thread.
I couldn't get to the Toronto show last year: had to work.
But I did get to Las Vegas.
And I saw him in Chicago a couple of years ago.
And I almost got to Boston this year.... (I was in New Hampshire that Sat. night).
It sure would be nice if Jimmy came through our neck of the woods more often. Yeah, Montreal would be fine: it's only 2 hours away. Mostly, Jimmy needs to check his scedule with me in advance, so I can get to the right place at the right time. And give me a ride on his bus or plane, too.... why not?!

But wouldn't he have to sing half the songs in French? I mean, "Chansons Pour Les Petite Enfants" and the little bit of "Autour du Rocher" aren't going to satisfy the Content Laws.. :D
He could also slide "Mademoiselle, Voulez-vous Danser?" and "L'aire de la Louisiana" into the set list, and maybe "La Vie Dansante" - but that one is iffy, as the title is the only French phrase in the song. He could also do the French version of WDWGDAS that he did when he played Toronto in 1996, and as long as the between-song banter is half in French (as it was at the St. Bart's show in 1999), Jimmy should be able to keep the Office québécois de la langue française language cops at bay  .

Western Canada would be great, and he wouldn't have to worry about the language police! Closest he ever gets in Vegas, and while it's a great long weekend for us, it'd be a lot easier to be closer to home. Forget Vancouver ... Calgary or Edmonton would be best. Besides, he could do a quick swing south to Boise too!!

I am 2 sided on this.
Just saw Jimmy at the DTE a couple of weeks ago.
I would love to see him back in Canada, but I do think they are much more easy going at the US concerts. Not to bash the Canucks (born and raised) but those Americans know how to tailgate. Beer is cheaper and I think he goes over better there.
If I had no job and lots of $$$$ I would follow him wherever he went. Anyside of any border.
Any word on 2007 tour???????

How about MountainFest's 15th year Anniversary?

I think the best place for hime to play expeshaly for tailgateing would be the Merritt Mountain Music Festival. http://www.mountainfest.com

I think he would be great for MountainFest's 15th year Anniversary bash! And no one could complain about a lack of being aloud to tailgate there, as any one how has been to it can tell you about the parties.

Sure, but you just gotta dress for the weather! Remember to wear layers ... long johns under your grass skirt, a sweater under your coconut bra, wool socks in your sandals ... we ARE a hardy bunch.

It's warmish (above freezing) and snowless in Ottawa this week!

It wasn't warm in Florida when I took a long weekend to see Jimmy's last stop this year, in Tampa. I guess I like having an excuse to travel to exotic locations to see my Jimmy.

Check http://www.mountainfest.com/ out and tell me if any of you think Jimy should play Mountin Fest?
