I dunno. I'm picturing Jimmy Buffett drawing on that Hoot acting experience and tackling the Rodney Dangerfield role.
"Last time I saw a mouth like that, it had a hook in it."
"Oh, this your wife, huh? A lovely lady. Hey baby, you must've been something before electricity."

"I hear this place is restricted, Wang, so don't tell 'em you're Jewish, okay?"
[After breaking wind at dinner]
"Hey, did somebody step on a duck?
Now who would we cast as Carl Spackler? Ty Webb? Judge Smails? Danny Noonan? Lacey Underalls?

Perhaps poor old Tom Cruise for the Carl Spackler role. It seems as if he needs a job.

"So I jump ship in Hollywood and make my way over to L.A., and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Malibu Canyons. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? L. Rod Hubbard, himself. Founding padre of Scientology. The advanced strata of Scientology's more esoteric knowledge, the grace, ... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, L. Rod - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of the canyon. Do you know what the Hubbard Dude says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga. So we finish the 18th and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, L. Rod, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, your theta (sole) will regain its native state of "total freedom."
So I got that goin' for me, which is nice."

Caddyshack is a classic and should be left as is.

Sequels are different than remakes... BN Feud could never be remade

Brian Doyle Murphy has been talking about making a Caddyshack 3 for sometime now. Do not think it will ever get off the pile of dirt in the studio.

I'm gonna go with the Bill Simmons(Sports Guy from ESPN Page 2)take on this one.
But here's what would be acceptable: "Black Caddyshack." Couldn't we take it in another direction with Snoop Dogg as Ty Webb, Bernie Mac as Judge Smails, Sam Jackson as Al Czervik, Jamie Foxx as Carl Spackler and Beyonce as Lacey Underall? With the right cast, I might give "Black Caddyshack" a chance.
I always love that one!!
