the beach is pretty much gorgeious today. Water is warm. Only draw back, tons of jellies. I have a fear of jelly fish since I was a like 5yo and my uncle got sent to the hospital with a humongous sting that left an imprint of a jelly on his stomach, chest and wrapped around to his back.
But if you don't swim too much it's still gorgious.

a jelly got me on South Padre Island (actually it got me just below the left arm pit) when I was in fifth grade. I wanted to die  It was freakin' awful

it reminds me of the epizode of seinfeld involving jellies.
Myrtle you don't have winter breathing down your necks either.

I dont mean to be a 'one-upper' here, but in beatiful NW Indiana the beach is lovely as ever today, the fresh smell of the steel mills, the warning signs for bacteria. I used to long to live by the ocean, but who need sunsets when you have the warm glow of blast furnaces. :o

hehe I always hate when we go for a visit to Chicago and pass thru Indiana waterways. The smell is horrible. And this from somebody who grew up in Philadelphia.

I can never get enough of the marsh grass, even though it might be only a link to the Atlantic, and you might see the ocean in the distance.. the sight of marsh still touches my soul.
