I built a good chunk of my collection on E-Bay. I found several for less than $5 (including shipping). Good place to start.

check for any record stores in your area that sell used music. albums, 8 tracks, cassettes etc. if you have a "rasputens" in your area, they sell vinyl albums for $1.95. good luck

Overstock.com is also good for building up the back album collection. Just remember, anytime you need 20 individual items, it isn't going to be completely cheap. :)

Another site that you might take a look at is Half.com. I have bought books and movies on there before and been very pleased with quality and price.

No, I think you'll get plenty that way, then soon need much more. --welcome to my boat!

This is a good place for good prices. Keep in mind you'll need to be an active ebay user to purchase from here.
There in-lies the rub, as I'm not an active user.....darn fishers stole my id a few years back.
I found about 13 of the albums I could use on Half.com, being sold by dvdlegacy. With shipping the 13 CDs came to $113.13. And with a place like that I wouldn't be too surprised to get a discount for a bulk buy like that.

No, BBB&B was actually my first Buffett purchase. I have found that I enjoy the songs not on the set more. Now that I have everything else, I never play it. Build slowly, there are birthdays, Xmas season, anniversaries and other "special" times to get gifts or make a purchase for yourself. Building slowly also gives you the opportunity to enjoy each disk without the distraction of wanting to hear another.

Have a birthday coming up? Christmas is only four months away. Ask for gift cards, this way you won't get duplicates.

BTW, here's the list of CDs I have, http://www.buffettnews.com/forum/viewto ... 11+records

Amazon's not bad. Hard to beat 7.99, especially if you get free shipping.

Build the collection little by little. Think of it as a conquist.
