You're using 1800 to mix?!? :o I'd love to try what ever you drink straight.
My favorite straight out of the bottle is Malibu Rum - Lime... of course not made for the states...Just sold in Barbados and France, if that does not bite...Made only one year... was the smoothest of rums I have ever tasted, nothing compares...

I agree with the sauza comments. I wouldn't spend the extra for the 1800 Cuervo..tastes the same as the cheap stuff IMO. If you are planning a big bash then the tequila probably doesn't matter much. Just pick up as many 1.75's as you can carry. Would rather have gold then silver anyday. www.sauzatequila.com/index.asp

Now what is the difference between the gold and the silver?

The hangover.

Since gold is a little sweeter, the headache can be a little more painful.

Kinda of my wine headache...after "two" many I wake in the middle of the night with a headache. I think I would rather spin on the bed - at least one foot stops the world!

It cost us $49.95 (which really isn't that bad a deal - considering ordering a Margarita at the bar was like $7.50-$8.00) I have a picture of it if you are interested...but it's at home so I can't post it now. Also you can only get a 100 oz. if you are at a table.
Thanks! exactly what I needed to know. I think I know the dispenser you are referring to, the brewery at the Monty Carlo has one you can get filled with beer. I eventually finished the beer dispenser but that filled with Margarita's is probably more than I could do.

Can anyone confirm or deny? What about price?

I'm hoping the rumors are true, I'm up for the challenge!!
I keep a 256 oz margarita in my freezer. :o
I will bring a couple of them to Plant City on Sept 23 :D

If anyone tried to drink 100 oz of those things they wouldn't move for days if they didn't end up deceased!
..or they'd be PRIMED for the Jimmy Buffett concert experience! :P  :pirate:

Silver or blanco is the raw distilled tequila. Gold or oro has carmelized sugar added for colour. (Mostly an American thing, gold is supposed to be better, according to the folks who think that Cuervo Especiale is the bee's knees.. Not a lot of difference in smoothness or aging, both are taken out of the spout and decanted; with the colouring added to the gold at that time.) If you are going to go with non-straight tequila, reposado is a lot better than flavouring. :)

The special tequila from Stars is much better than what was in the magic lexan bottle... single-barrel reserve anejo with a blown-glass agave plant in the base of the bottle.. that, is incredible stuff. :)
