I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.
Too much for me, too much for me
I've got to be where the wind and the water are free.

I was able to get 4 this morning, but it was nigh on impossible. For 20 minutes, the website didn't work, and the phone was an endless 'all circuits are busy'. The website finally popped up about 10:20 and worked brilliantly for about 60 seconds. We tried to grab a second order for others but by the time the site came back up everything was sold out.
Them's some expensive seats, friends. ($309 each). Yeouch. But it's 5 miles from my house, so no hotel, so gas money, so plane ticket - just tickets and booze!

I got tickets, too. I agree with your assessment, I was persistent on the phone and the website.
I was afraid that the website had crashed and the phone would be the only hope, but their circuits were overloaded as well.
There are only 1300 seats in the venue, and some of the seats went to the $1000 donors (probably as many as wanted to buy at that price), and a few to "special" or media guests, so there weren't that many available to the "peons" that wanted to pay the "regular"
It's not suprising that it sold out in 5 minutes.
All JB shows sell out fast.
Will this show be broadcast on RM/Sirius?

I'm so sorry BG.
The place is the size of a movie theater (which it is), so suspect the seats are gone, unless someone's credit card gets rejected.
Remember, however, that originally, JB said that he would do two Texas benefit shows for Kinky.

... I need to find tix ... One of Kinky's biggest supporters in Austin is Willie ... and I'm sure Jerry Jeff is going to swing by for a couple tunes.
Wouldn't it be cool to see Kinky, Jerry Jeff, Willie, & Jimmy jam together on Mr. Bojangles ... each taking a verse!

... believe it if you need it, or leave it if you dare ...
I'll take any or all of the above!!!Box of Rain wrote:... I need to find tix ... One of Kinky's biggest supporters in Austin is Willie ... and I'm sure Jerry Jeff is going to swing by for a couple tunes.

WE got 3 tickets. 2 in MEZZ and 1 in BALC. That's all that ever came up in that short little time-frame in there at 10:20. 4 never would come up, but 2 did, and then 1. STILL need 1 more anywhere.
(I was told you could still buy obstructed view at the box office window at the Paramount. Row A of MEZZ is considered obs. view and would not be bad seats.)
LIPH did ya get Balcony? There are no bad seats in the house.

It's just a short piece up to those seats! wooo hooooo! Drink sales and RRs on every level!!! For some shows you can take drinks to your seats!! I hope this is one of those KINDS of events.
I sure hope Radio Margaritaville broadcasts. I probably won't remember a thing from the LIVE experience.

Good news bad news.
Good news is that I have tix - 8th row, dead center.
Bad news is that I had to buy 4 and am only taking my wife. I have 2 to sell.
Don't know what to do here. It's wierd, not many people are actually looking for tickets for this show and I have the xpensive ones ($300 a piece face value).
