I was. I love Ugg boots. Very comfy for winters in Michigan

I can't believe those girls I see running around in little high heeled boots. Besides the issue of breaking their necks on the ice...there is no insulation so they risk frost bite as well

There was another version of the song where he talks about having his hiking boots on. . . was this because Hush Puppies sued, so they re-edited for the radio or something crazy like that?
Anyway, I have my hiking boots on now!

The Oxford was their original style. Later in the early 70's they made a one color "wingtip" (actually more like eyeleted).

I'm thinking those must be what LIPH and bg were thinking of. This will be a new question that bothers me so!

But... we can go hiking on Tuesday... the "wallabee" style seems more condusive to hiking... and I just remember all of the hippie friends of my older siblings' wearing them!
