I know some of us had discussed it a few months back when the tour was announced...but I was curious if anybody had the chance to catch their current tour with Michael McDonald opening up. I had seen the Dan once before and was impressed, however, I think they stepped up their game and are sounding even better than ever. The thing that always impresses me about their live performances is how crisp and clear their sound is. These guys are true pros who really care about quality which is nice to see.

Here is a review from the Boston Globe about their Great Woods show...

They were fantastic when I caught their show at Embarcadero Park on SD Bay last month! :P
Much sharper than than last tour in 2003. A couple fresh arrangements brought new life to a couple classics and the whole set
consisted of hits and faves... personal highlights for me: Time Out Of Mind, Don't Take Me Alive, and Black Cow
No experimenting, this time, with solo projects from Becker

The only letdown was that our stop was one of only a few that Michael McDonald didn't open :-?

In fact, I'm just cracking up thinking about any reference to him at all... y'know, since 40-year old Virgin
