actually the one is our town is pretty good and consistent but, it was the best thing we had after McD's, Burger King and Taco Bell. It's the TGIF's that is really terrible in Manahawkin.

In small, one stoplight towns like I live in, Hardees is the ONLY fast food we have. Our "good" restaurants like Mickey D's, Wendys, etc.. are about 15-20 minutes away.... Needless to say....I drive the 15-20 minutes..our Hardees is terrible!!!

I live in a Fairly Urban city Let the Boise jokes begin

but I don't eat chain fast food too often, we have a lot of
Mom and Pop burger joints. and I would rather eat at one of those
places.. Carls JR. is the only place I eat on a regular basis
Sonic once every other month or so and if I am going out right after work
Wendys because it is right on the way home.

Hardee's used to have a policy that they would go into towns with a population of 5k or more, McD's was 10k. Hardee's is in ND, MN, IA, MO, and east, Carl's is west of there. And last but not least: it's kinda like JB's vs. Fritsch's Big Boys.

TGI Fridays is the decent restaurant by me and Applebees is the one I try to avoid.

"True" Gyros is lamb and beef kneeded together, put on a huge spit, and shaved off as it cooks. :D

I think that's the case everywhere, although we do have a sushi place we love (it's like 10 tables in the back part of a Japanese grocery store- it's not uncommon to see chefs from other sushi places shopping there) and an Ethiopian restaurant- we can't figure out why there aren't more of them, the food is incredible!!

But Hardee's really went downhill in Indy for a long, long time. The only one I knew of was the Methadone Hardee's across the street from my old job. They would barely let a woman go through the drive thru alone.
