Former Texas first lady Nellie Connally dead at 87

Nellie Connally, the widow of former Texas Gov. John Connally and the last remaining survivor who rode in President Kennedy's limousine when he was assassinated, has died...

So sad.
I remember her as one of the unsung heroes of Nov. 22, 1963.
A dynamite lady who stood by her man through the good times and the bad.
I read that she was very active until the very end, and, in fact, just a week ago went shopping with one of her daughters and was playing Cribbage with some friends just a few days ago.

Sail on, Mrs. Connally. :(
