I like Brian Williams a lot!Elrod wrote:I watched NBC.
In Brian's closing remarks, he welcomed Katie to the time slot and the anchor chair and wished her good luck "in limited amounts."
Watched Katie-thought it was a pretty mediocre show-she didn't change much, but the new features lighten things up some, and I guess I just don't want my evening news lightened up--there are way too many other places for that!!!

OK. just finished up Katie's debut...
not bad, but sounded just like her "Dateline" voice, and that voice is still too "soft".
Her makeup made me recall Maria Shriver from her NBC newsdesk days.. really heavy mascara. mmmm

I never liked her but I have seen her up close many times, including walking behind her in the lobby of the building. Nice booty for someone her age.ragtopW wrote:![]()

I wasn't home, but if I had been, why should I miss Stargate SG-1 on SciFi to watch the same news I can get online (or on cable, whenever I want it) in half the time?

Much as everyone likes to think they're irreplaceable in their job, I guess they're not, are they?LIPH wrote:Let's see what the ratings are a month from now. The Today Show has been the highest rated morning show for the last 10 years and the ratings have gone up since Katie Couric left.

Maybe the ratings were high because people like Matt Lauer and Al Roker.chippewa wrote:Much as everyone likes to think they're irreplaceable in their job, I guess they're not, are they?LIPH wrote:Let's see what the ratings are a month from now.
