I used to get all my news from The Daily Show. They don't have that in my hotel, so I am a little out of touch these days

I like Brian Williams a lot!

Watched Katie-thought it was a pretty mediocre show-she didn't change much, but the new features lighten things up some, and I guess I just don't want my evening news lightened up--there are way too many other places for that!!!

OK. just finished up Katie's debut...
not bad, but sounded just like her "Dateline" voice, and that voice is still too "soft".
Her makeup made me recall Maria Shriver from her NBC newsdesk days.. really heavy mascara. mmmm

Barbara Walters just stated on "The View" that she watches Charlie Gibson
(no disrespect to Katie, of course)

Personally, I watch Charlie, too.
He's just very intelligent IMHO.

I never liked her but I have seen her up close many times, including walking behind her in the lobby of the building. Nice booty for someone her age.

I wasn't home, but if I had been, why should I miss Stargate SG-1 on SciFi to watch the same news I can get online (or on cable, whenever I want it) in half the time?

Me neither... I probably would have watched it, but I ended up having to work late, so I missed it... Caught a little of the news last night, I wasn't too impressed...

Let's see what the ratings are a month from now. The Today Show has been the highest rated morning show for the last 10 years and the ratings have gone up since Katie Couric left.

Maybe the ratings were high because people like Matt Lauer and Al Roker.

I like Al Roker. Maybe now I'll be able to watch that show once in a while without vomiting now that "Cinderella Sunshine" is gone.
