Can we meet Jimmy?

My wife and I want to see Jimmy this year. I don't really want to go to a concert. Does he play at a restaraunt where we can seat around and drink while he plays? He have a place here in TN that has a band that plays his music and it is overlooking the lake. Our anniversary is coming up and I would like for her to meet him. Is there anyway that can happen?

Welcome to BN.
Not to be phlip, but if you turn back the clock to the 70's and drop yourself down on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, you can catch Jimmy at any number of bars . . . just him and the guitar. Heaven.
Reality is he shows up at bars in the islands from time to time. And sometimes at Mac or Jake shows. Those who have seen him in settings like that are really fortunate.
Good luck at getting anywhere near him if Charleston (his bodyguard) is around. Charleston is very, very good at his job!
Hope you get to meet the man someday. Good luck!

I have to agree with what the others have said, KT. Not very likely. Kinda gotta be at the right place at the right time.

That's about the only way it was going to happen for me but I am still holding out on my ophicial fantasy of being on the beach sometime - sitting around a bonfire ... singing with friends... and Jimmy just happens to come up and join in... I know I know..... but it's MY dream.... lol
I Don't suggest stalking though - that hasn't worked out well for any of us. - and I am still doing comunity service for that one "incident"

I think that was the price for the infamous Tyco (Koslowski's wife's) birthday party on Sardinia a couple years back....

Tyco party planner Barbara Jacques testified that singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett and his group were flown in at a cost of $250,000.
but that was five years ago.....

You're really good!
Maybe the $1 million+ is what Wal-Mart paid last year....(could be it was $1 for Jimmy to perform and $1 million for him to do that tiki bar ad...

The
other (Sam's club) tiki bar... Jimmy probably charged them $1 million to stand by theirs, whereas, he's stood by you (Tiki Bar, proper) for the mere price of admission to a show....

I heard he pops by yard sales occassionally

he was recently purchasing appliances at one, I think that's your best route and if he doesn't show up possibly you'll raise enough money selling stuff to just hire him right out good luck[smilie=boggl3y3dummy-ani.gif]
