Penny, Molly, it's a downloadable computer phone service through which you can make free overseas calls. My brother in France has been calling us every Sunday on Skype. Another brother uses it so their adopted son can talk to his friends in Turkey free of charge. You use it to call any line anywhere free of charge.

I just called my own line and found out my cat has chewed through my microphone cord. At least I could hear, if not talk. It's clearer than AIM.

True. But we have our email.

My friend uses it all the time to call from Grenada. She loves it.

They don't have to be overseas to use it, just someone else with the program. Plus, thru the end of this year, you can call all landlines and cell phones for free.

I tried it and was able to run a test call. Couldn't figure out how to call a land line and gave up. I think it is pretty big in Europe.

What chippewa said... You can use it to make free calls to any phone anywhere. Most in the U.S. have free long distance cell phone service, but if you're low on minutes, this can help!

I tried it and had no problem... (except I need to buy a new mic).

One girl we know here uses it to talk to her mom in Paraguay and loves it. Good luck! Talk lots!
