We survived it last time...but don't know how much it has changed since then. IIRC correctly it actually came up on the venue as a suggested hotel last year, that's not the case anymore. But most likely for those couple of days it will be full of parrotheads, so it should be doable. On hotels.com it was 2.5 out of 5 stars.

I can't picture where the RRI was...I'm thinking the Holyday Een was between RRI and the Baymont...but I wasn't driving so I didn't pay too much attention.

We're staying out on Anna Maria Island and driving in for the show on Thurs. We couldn't pass up the chance to stay at such a wonderful place right on the beach.

Did anyone pay the $20 premium parking fee? We want to tailgate with everyone we were unable to meet at the pool party, anyone have an idea for a good meeting location for tailgate?

I didn't pay extra for parking.
The lot is wonderful for tailgating; open early with grass between the rows.

I'm sure we'll all figure out a BN gathering/meeting place as the show gets closer (probably with an arial map posted).

Didn't last year....LPO was there EARLY setting up the tailgate and he didn't have a ticket.....not until late, late afternoon....A lot of the people at our tailgate didn't have tickets...

last year (February '05) we just paid for the car as we drove into the lot, and set up the tailgate.
They did not check for event tickets.

I know the parking lot there is great for tailgating. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn express and plan on setting up shop right across the street. Even though it is a walk to get into the concert, we will have easy access to restrooms. Plan on bringing a sound system, hillbilly horshoes, and off course the traditional corona, margarita concoctions!
