So does anyone have anything planned?

I know in years past I have connected with several parrotheads for the tailgate in cincinatti and cleveland!

We plan on setting up right across from the Holiday Inn. We will have cornhole, a DJ system, and several fun contests to take advantage of two days off work! All are welcome to join in----

Any suggestions for songs other than buffett----I like to mix it up with some Kenny Chesney, Pat Dailey (from Ohio), Buster Poindexter, and a little marley! Any other artists you can think of?

OK folks, I am a local here in Tampa but had never been to the Ford Ampitheater until last nights Cheryl Crow/ John Mayer concert. We learned a few insider tips I though I would share.....


Parking was free in the Florida State Fairgrounds lot. Most events at the fair grounds they charge for parking so I was not sure about this. The parking lot is nice and grass so no worries about standing in stone dust or asphalt so you can leave the fake grass carpet at home.

The Exit for general parking off I-4 is #7. There is no signage specifically for the ampitheater just the fair grounds that say use exits 5-7. #6 is for VIP and bus parking only. God knows where exit 5 willl take you but no where near the ampitheater. more to follow

#5 is the scenic route, a chance to see parts of Tampa not on the Chamber of Commerce brouchure
