But to be honest, I feel like Fingers could have used a nap before he took the stage, or a few less beers. Either he was out of practice with the coral reefers or he was just drunk. He just didn't seem to be with it. But I don't fault a guy for being tired or drunk, I enjoyed it, and cheered loudly whenever he came on stage. I must say though that he did not forget his part for APLA40, that was just great to hear that again live.
Interesting. Anyone else who was at the show have a perspective on this? I thought he was great during APLA40 but wasn't quite sure how to fit in during Peanut Butter.

Nice to hear him back on stage with Jimmy....

After the show, some of us thought the same thing during PB Conspiracy. We were wondering if there was a sound mixing problem, since he was in & out during that song, sometimes you could see him playing on the video board but not hear any harp. He sounded much better in SOASOAS, and the finale with Jimmy, Mac & Fingers playing APLAF might have been the highlight of the three shows I've seen this summer...right up there with Jake playing an intro to Desperation Samba.

Fingers used to be married to my cousin, Amanda Taylor. Since his divorce, he has never been the same and does not enjoy playing like he used to.

He must have really enjoyed it before.

I have seen him play over a dozen times during the past year, at numerous small venues as well as with Jimmy in Cincinnati. I have spoken with him before/during/after the gigs and in every case he certainly seemed to me to be enjoying himself.

Hmmmm...let's see now...what does Mr. Taylor do for a living??? He is a PERFORMER - THEY ALL ARE EGOCENTRIC!!! Did you actually think that he would portray himself as not having a good time???!!! It is an image thing. Plus, I think since my cousin still sees him on a regular basis (they have two children together) - call me crazy - but I know a little bit more about him than you do.

Easy Pammi...I think Z-man was just sharing his experience, as were you. Welcome to BuffettNews and thanks for sharing.

Fingers is a wonderful musician who seems to have encountered some of life's demons along the way. I hope he can continue to find some inspiration, peace, and a way to be "live happily ever after every now and then".

Amen...one of the best harp players out there. Check out Kim Wilson too - amazing.

In a situation like Greg and Amanda's, I just always say a prayer for their adorable children!!!
