Jiffy Lube Ripoffs

This happened in April but I couldn't find another thread - sorry if it's a duplicate. Apparently 5 out of 9 Jiffy Lube's in California charged this TV station investigators for work that was never done. You can get the whole story on snopes;

I've had friends who have had problems with Jiffy Lube. For one person, they put the wrong antifreeze in his car and it overheated on a trip. The engine is ruined. He's got to buy a new car. Another friend went to get an oil change and they forgot to put in oil. Needless to say, he had to get a new car.

Stay away, far away.

I thought they have been doing this for years along with using recycled oil. What do you expect for a $20 oil change?

One thing is that I never went to Jiffy Lube when I had a car. When I had one living up in Massachusetts/NH, I used to go to Sullivan Tires. A little pricey but I never had complaints about their service.

I believe I saw this on one of those 'news' shows.. Never been to one, thank goodness!

I go to a Texaco Express and they're are awesome in service and price.
