SO - what is it about your town/city that tourists would do?

I already know about places like NYC, Vegas etc ......

I like to hear about different things ... like in Seattle I want to go to the Boeing place .... I want to go to the big can of spam one day as well

So .. town/city and state please!!

Newcastle, Australia - we got WINE!!!!!! and GREAT beaches!

Eagle Point Park--overlooking the widest point on the Mississippi River north of New Orleans

Clinton Lumberkings Professional Baseball

Riverboat gambling with cruising April-Oct (for at least one more year)

Dinner cruises on Mississippi nearby

Boston:

Old North Church --- where the lanterns were lit alerting Paul Revere to make his famous ride alerting the Minute Men that the Royal Army was coming.

Fanuel Hall -- where the debate on Indepence and the acceptance of the U.S. Constitution were debating.

In Charlestown, the U.S.S. Constitution (Old Ironsides) is docked and is the oldest commissioned warship still active.

The Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins all play in the city of Boston, the Patriots and Revolution play 30 miles southwest in the town of Foxborough.

Boston Commons is the oldest park in the US (started in 1684 or around then).

There are other historical sites to see in Boston and are too many to see.

La Porte, IN - home of the overpass.

Also, more bars per capita than anywhere in the USA. Also the same goes for antique stores.

Northeast Florida is a birding paradise. Each season offers its own unique opportunities. In winter, Gannets can be seen swooping and diving off shore. Purple Sandpipers huddle on the rocks at the Fort Clinch fishing pier, while American White Pelicans gather on the shell beaches of the Amelia River. On the Intracoastal Waterway and nearby Little Talbot Island, Bald Eagles can be found. Piping Plovers roam the remote beach, and occasionally, a Long-Billed Curlew can be seen. Spring and summer bring the most colorful visitors. Painted Buntings, along with Summer Tanagers, Orchard Orioles and Roseate Spoonbills fill the island interior, while Least Terns, an endangered species, are frequently seen diving for small fish in the creeks and rivers. During spring and fall, beaches and flats are a common stop over for birds on the Atlantic Migratory Flyway. Black-Bellied Plovers, Purple Sandpipers, Long-Billed Curlew, Stilts and others can be seen. Great Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Snowy Egrets, Willets, and Osprey inhabit these islands all year.

Each winter, endangered Northern Right Whales travel from Canada's Atlantic Coast to give birth off Amelia Island's shores. With less than 400 of these huge mammals left, every single calf is vital to the future of this endangered species. The numerous creeks and rivers which feed the Intracoastal Waterway provide wide-eyed onlookers the opportunity for viewing dolphins, manatees, otters, and alligators.



Cumberland Island is a great day trip....Remote island with Wild Horses all over...the flora, fauna and the wildlife are just beautiful....There is a ferry (ok...a little boat they call a ferry) that leaves every day from here..

We also have Itasca State Park within driving distance... it's the start of the mighty Mississippi River... as well as thousands of lakes for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, etc...

It's a good destination for a summer holiday

Well my town has nothing itself, but Long Island as a whole:

Beaches
Winerys on the North Fork
Bethpage Black-world class golf for an everyman price
At one end of the island you have the greatest city in the world.
At the other end, you have the Hamptons and Montauk a little farther.
Other than that, it's pretty much a suburbia (considering the first suburb was started here)

Great to see Paul and Babe are still there. Went through Bemidji with my folks over 40 years ago! Did you hear about the winter that was so cold, the cows gave ice cream?
