Actually I just looked at your pictures and it looks like we may have stayed at the same hotel?? Comfort Inn on 36th? If that is you, I believe my friend and I may have been getting off the elevator and you and your friend (boyfriend, husband??) may have been getting on? I said "I know where you guys are going". Was that you? (If not, just proof I was tipsy - LOL)
I was going to say that TGIFridays would have played some more Buffett tunes, but it's hard to find "Jimmy Buffett" while looking for "Jimmie Buffet". My sister and I only walked in for a second to check it out, about 3:30 or so. No one was there yet so we walked to Times Square. Yep, we stayed at the same hotel. We saw each other when you were headed out. My sister and I were heading back to change into our concert gear after sightseeing for a bit.
By the way,
this is me. "silverbetty" is a name I used for a silver car I use to drive. About the same time I got the car a bunch of friends were getting websites and using cool URLs. Anyway, that's my handle on a few forums. Not much of a story, but it's mine and I'm sticking to it.

I would definitely go with Outdoors. Was at Great Woods this year for the Thursday show, got soaked and still wouldn't have traded the experience for an indoor one.... of course I'd go see Jimmy anywhere anytime, but would prefer outdoors. My .02

I've done enough indoor and outdoor shows that you would think I could make up my mind by now but I enjoy all of them for different reasons. As others have said a great deal depends on the venue and the crowd. I've been to Irvine and had a wonderful time and I've been there when it wasn't great. I've done the Shark Pit in San Jose and haven't had a bad seat there but the crowd is always subdued. Fiddler's in Denver always seems to be a mellow crowd and I've always enjoyed the evening breezes that waft through there. The show I saw in Cincinnati in 88 was great and yet none of these compare to when Jimmy performed at Park West back in the mid 80's. The full moon rising up behind the stage, the great music and the fun crowd actually had to be one of the all time best shows in terms of total experience.
Ultimately I guess I go with outdoor if everything is right and indoor if the weather is nasty. The exception is Las Vegas, I will do that indoor show anytime.

OK, first of all, I definitely can see you are not "Betty", so let me now call you Silver. LOL.

And yes, that was most certainly you we saw at the elevator. Too funny and small world.

No worries, you know what they say about fine minds. They think alike. You guys had the brilliant idea to go see Jimmy and Co. at MSG and stay a few blocks away. My sister and I had the same great idea, so there we go... ergh, Here We Are!

I had a ball! I sat on the lawn with BEG, Dally, Phins1026.HSVParrothead...Kev's girlfriend ..and I just had a total senior moment.....Some other people..how's that?
Walked the lot with Lynn all day...Met all kinds of people....Laughed and laughed...Had a great time...Course the lawn was pretty wet by the time all the encores rolled around..and you could hardly hear it...but like I said...I had a great time with the people I was
with!

No, this was 03 at the indoor place across the street from Newk's.
We were at that show also. I think they call that place The Thunderdome.
We absolutely could not hear a thing, but we also had the worst seats ever. Never again.
The party at Newks was the best part of the show.
I prefer outdoors, but my favorite shows have been indoors because the situations were unique.
