That must be a new policy. The last time Buffett played there in 2001 we were in the lot sometime around noon.Island Dogs in the Keys wrote:We called the Sound Advice Ampitheatre and were told that that the parking lot will not open until 5pm and they have a policy against tail gateing.
This puts a major dampening on the pre-concert Parrothead Phlocking.
Any ideas out there amongst the faithful?
Who's going to WPB 11/14/06???

You should just come to Florida for MOTM and stay for both concerts!!!

I don't think thats true. I went to DMB earlier this year, was forced into it, and the tailgaiting started around three. Five hours is still good time. I know its know eight, but its better than three.

We hope everyone is right about the tailgaiting but....
We simply called the venue and they are the ones that told us no tailgating and the lot opens at 5pm. Here is the info if someone else wants to call:

Even if thats what they say, trying to keep people out, how are they gonna turn away that many cars? It was cause traffic problems. They might just tell people that, but if enough people show up, they can't stop the carnival. I'll be there early and ready to go. If all else fails, I'll pull on the side of the road while waiting to get in and start having fun.

If you had a million dollars there would be a lot more to life than wasting it all on Jimmy concerts and PH meetingsBrown Eyed Girl wrote:Like I said to someone earlier today...if I had a million dollars...Finsupinfla wrote:Brown Eyed Girl wrote:You really should be going to Tampa...Finsupinfla wrote:Ticket came in the mail today!!!![]()

When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.
