I have never heard of one except when he is playing with other people. But I can tell you he's kinda like Clapton, doesnt move more than 1 sq foot from where he's standing, look up or smile or hell I dont know if he blinks...lol. But he is awesome, you just sit there going WOW. Not much of a showman as they say. He talks little and does a lot of instrumentals. You should get Grant St live cause thats really how he is live. You wont be dissapointed trust me!!!!
And he will come out and sign stuff and chat afterwards. He is a very nice and sweet guy, you'll have a great conversation!
Ok so I may be a big fan ...heehee
Go to this show if you get a chance. Sonny Landreth is amazing! I saw him open for Little Feat a few months ago. I don't know of any videos for him, but you can see him on "From the Big Apple to the Big Easy" among other Buffett videos. Grant Street is a great album.
Awhile ago, there were some downloads available on his site. His electric stuff is great, but to hear him do his thing with an acoustic guitar is insane.
I was actually torn between seeing Sonny Landreth at a local club or driving to NYC to see Jimmy at MSG. Needless, to say Jimmy won, but I'm sure I wouldn't have been disappointed either way.
Actually Sonny is going to be on Long Island toward the end of October. I guess it's worth checking out, especially since I missed him in NYC last month.
Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar
Wish I were sitting at the concert right now as I type this, instead I am watching Jimmy Live at Wrigley for the 1000 time. still as good as the first time I watched it!
