DOES ANYONE KNOW OF AIRFARE SALES COMING UP??AIRTRAN/ETC.??

I know some airfare sales just ended yesterday including AirTran and Northwest :-? . Just wondered if anyone in the know has any ideas if more airfare sales are likely to kick in anytime soon (within the next week or so). AirTran flies directly from my hometown so that is normally preferable. If I have to leave from Detroit I'll do that as well.

Thanks!

depends on where you are going. SWA is running some good prices now. I got the trip from CMH to WPB for $157 round trip

Once upon a time you could count on 4 sales a year from the airlines and then things changed with the advent of a deregulated industry (well supposedly but not really) you had marketing guys who decided that they should put seats on sale at other times as well. Now it happens all the time. I would venture that I get an email announcing a sale on Air Tran at least once a week. True, these aren't systemwide sales but they are discounts on already low airfares.

Call a good travel agent and see how low they can go for you.

Spirit has a bunch of sales from DTW right now- we found Vegas fare for 310 each, nonstop, and not the redeye, but we're waiting until after this weekend to buy it, just because they run so many sales and we'd rather have the fun ticket money available for this weekend.
