My oldest daughter was acting very different last night, she had just played an outstanding volleyball game (9-aces, two 7-point service runs)and also came home with the news that she had gotten 111 or a perfect score on her world geography, nations and capitals test. After being a mope for most of the evening, she finally "fessed up" It seems she was stuck on the very last question and time was just about up. Her friend across the way, looked over saw her looking at the same blank question and said, "thats Belgrade" and Carie wrote it down.
Guilt got the better of her and that ewxplained the mood. She said she felt better after telling us. Today, at the risk of volleyball eligibility (catholic confinement, very strict rules) She went to the teacher and confessed, without implicating anybody else. He deducted five points so she still has her 100, plus 6-extra credit and now she has her peace of mind back as well.
Being a very good volleyball player, plus the pressure of being a teachers daughter, this was a very difficult choice for her to make, but we said it was "her choice" and I am so proud of her for making the right one.
Carie, I love you tons

"Boat drinks, waitress we........nevermind"
He ain't wrong he's just different
but his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
