Hell look at Keith Richards - if anyone should have retired - heck died a long time ago it was him

I'm like others - as long as he has fun and his health and mental well being hold out he'll continue to perform.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

(that's a good thing people!!!)
unless you think Joe's best year in the last 10 was last year, and he should have bagged on coming back this year; end his career on a high note.
What makes you think they won't do that again..... besides Joe is incapable of not coaching. I don't see sitting on the sidelines in the cards for him. That was the best game ever though....
Jimmy is the same way.. he loves it too much.... we shall take what we can get and when he is done.... we will just have to tailgate somewhere occasionally where we can watch an old show on the big screen - isn't it all about the tailgating anyway???? We wil ALWAYS have his music...... which comforts me

I have a feeling is all. Last year was a real turnaround, almost back to the years when Paterno cared about what he was doing. most of the last decade, he just phoned it in from the recruiting to the inspiring the players.

But, I don't see it happening this year, and without a 2-3 year great performance string, recruiting isn't going to improve, and Penn State isn't going to do more than stay in the middle of the pack in the Big Ten.

I did not make that comment to start a Joe bashing session. You will cease at once or my 78 y/o mother will drive down from PA and throw you in Susan's pool. ( I should mention she is a huge PSU/Joe Paterno fan)

I received word from Jimmy just this morning.
Here is you definitive answer, "Where it all ends I can't fathom, my friends. If I knew, I might toss out my anchor."

thanks, can we get back to having fun?

I wonder if JB retires if an impersonator could take over and it could all keep going (with Jimmy making occassional appearances)? He could play more obscure songs and could actually join us in the tailgating?
Hey, it worked for the Beatles replacing Paul when he died, very few people even noticed. :pirate:

Isn't Kenny more like a "mini-me" of Jimmy than a clone? :D

You guys are missing all the cool other trop-rock bands.

The Boat Drunks
The Rum Punch Bandits
Tropical Soul
Captain Quint
Brent Burns (He's really pretty good)
...many others

Where RM falls short, my Napster playlists keep me entertained.

If Kenny Chesney takes over for Jimmy Buffett, do you think he'll ask Fingers to join the band?
