Firefighting Buffett Fan Injured, Please Help Raise Funds

Okay. I'll confess that I'm not a Jimmy Buffett fan. BUT...

One of my best friends from early childhood, Kade Kotheimer, 24, is a HUGE Jimmy Buffet fan. (If you know anyone with access to Facebook.com, his profile mentions and quotes Jimmy Buffett several times.)

I won't go on too long about his story (see the links below), but he just got married and got a job as a fireman (his lifelong dream) in Indianapolis.

Last week, he got in a minor car accident and while he was standing in the center lane talking with the driver of the other vehicle, he was struck by a driver (whose license was suspended) and thrown into oncoming traffic, where he was his by two other vehicles.

Both of the bones in both of his legs were broken, and he sustained serious head injuries. Currently, he's in a coma, but his condition seems to be improving.

Unfortunately, because he had only been on the job a short time, his benefits hadn't all kicked-in yet. As you can read in the post by the fire department below, they've set-up a trust-fund for Kade.

My goal was to contact Mr. Buffett to see if he would be willing to help raise money for Kade in any way. Could any of help me do that? Or do it on behalf of me?

Additionally, if there's any way to tap you collective goodwill, any donations you can make to his trust fund would be appreciated. The information on the trust fund is in the post by the fire department.

Your best bet may be to contact Margaritaville in Key West, as that seems to be the only way to possibly get a message across. I am sure that other people can offer suggestions on here, as they have able to reach the right people for certain things before.

Hang in there friends. The Fire Fighter World along with the Parrothead World are powerful things. Getting the two together might, no it will bring goodness to this fallen brother!
